Georgie Mac (24) is a singer/songwriter who regularly performs at live music venues across Sydney.
The pop/folk singer began her training as a youngster in Launceston, Tasmania. Georgie moved with her family to Sydney shortly after and began making appearances on national television music shows, including the remake of Young Talent Time and Channel 9’s The Voice as a regular backing vocalist. She then went on to perform around Australia alongside a range of Aussie artists such as Anthony Callea, Tim-o-matic, and Samantha Jade. In 2013 and 2014 Georgie hosted Junior Eurovision with Jessica Maulboy and Andre Nookadu.
In 2014, Georgie Mac finished her studies at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, graduating with a music scholarship. She has since gone on to perform as part of a successful Sydney based music duo and as a solo artist at venues all around Sydney, the Hunter Valley region, and regular stints at Jindabyne. Georgie has a plethora of experience playing private functions, weddings, pubs & clubs.
Georgie show combines acoustic guitar, a stomp box, and soul/folk vocals. Over 200 songs feature in her set list, sure to please a variety of musical tastes. She has been hailed for her energetic shows, which regularly entice audience members to sing and dance along. Georgie performs a wide assortment of genres and is well versed in tailoring her set list to suit the venue/crowd. She enjoys playing pop, folk, country, and Aussie rock and some of her favourite artists are Fleetwood Mac, Ed Sheeran, and Missy Higgins.
Georgie Mac released her first original single and music video this year titled Blue Moon Fever on all streaming services. She has plans to release an EP later in the year.
